Pricing on a task marketplace should fit in one sentence, so here it is: you pay the rewards you set, plus 10%. Everything below is the detail behind that sentence.
How a campaign is priced
Set the reward per result
Anything from $0.50 to $1,000 per approved result, in US dollars. This is exactly what a worker earns when you approve their proof.
Set the number of spots
From 1 to 100,000. Reward multiplied by spots is the worker fund.
Brief Buck adds 10%
The platform fee is 10% of the worker fund, rounded to the nearest cent, and shown as its own line at checkout.
Pay once, then publish
The worker fund and fee are paid together. The campaign opens only after payment is confirmed.
Worked examples
| Campaign | Worker fund | Platform fee (10%) | You pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 quick website checks at $0.50 | $50.00 | $5.00 | $55.00 |
| 50 TikTok song reactions at $1 | $50.00 | $5.00 | $55.00 |
| 20 app onboarding tests at $5 | $100.00 | $10.00 | $110.00 |
| 10 UGC product videos at $25 | $250.00 | $25.00 | $275.00 |
The worker in every row receives the full reward shown, not the reward minus a commission.
What is included
The fee covers the marketplace itself: audience targeting by country, city, language, device and platform; private instructions that unlock only after a worker reserves a spot; structured proof with private file storage and safety review; one correction request per submission; the appeal process; and card processing.
What workers pay
Nothing to Brief Buck. The reward on a task card is the amount credited on approval. Moving money out can still cost something outside the platform, such as currency conversion or a bank's transfer charge, which is why how payouts work recommends withdrawing less often in larger amounts. The minimum withdrawal is $10.
Timing that affects cost
A reserved spot that expires goes back into the campaign for another worker, so an abandoned reservation does not cost you a result. Unused funding and cancelled campaigns are handled under the terms according to the state of each funded spot; money already earned for approved work is never treated as unused.
